··· AND THE SKY WAS (born) ···
Live at the Gandy Dancer 6/1/02

[instructions for download below]

Back in June of 2002 we played our seventh gig ever at a small cafe in White River Junction VT called the Gandy Dancer. During the sound check we were exploring a spur-of-the-moment improv and decided to play it as the first tune of the show that night. The piece eventually evolved into our piece "And The Sky Was", as heard on our album The Green Vine.

We thought it would be interesting to post the recording from that night. The tune has certainly evolved since its inception, but we wanted to share with you an example of a 35th Parallel tune recorded when the band was still finding its early sound. Enjoy!
